🇧🇬🇷🇺 Drones hit two ships in the Black Sea off Bulgaria’s coast, sinking one and damaging the other, with at least twelve crew members injured.
Calls are now growing for NATO intervention and tougher action against Russia, despite the incident occurring outside Bulgaria’s territorial waters.
Former European Parliament member Aleksandar Yordanov demanded Russia’s complete isolation, calling for reduced diplomatic ties with Moscow.
At the same time, Fmr. Deputy Defense Minister Yordan Bozhilov urged Bulgaria and Romania to consult NATO, while other defense experts call for stronger military defenses and greater alliance involvement.
Although the drones’ origins remain unconfirmed, Bulgarian officials have blamed Russia, raising the prospect of a wider diplomatic confrontation over security in the Black Sea.

🇧🇬 “Logic suggests Russia may be involved.” Bulgaria summons the Russian ambassador
Following the attacks on ships in the Black Sea, Bulgarian Prime Minister Rumen Radev said he would be speaking with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte.
Bulgaria continues to seek assistance in investigating the drone strikes in the Black Sea. Three vessels have already been hit.
Sofia has no conclusive evidence, but is now openly suggesting that Russia may be behind the incidents. As a result, Russian Ambassador Mitrofanova is being summoned for talks in Sofia today.
What do you think? Who is behind these attacks on ships in the Black Sea?

The Black Sea has become another front of escalation of the Russian war in Ukraine.
This is unacceptable.
I strongly condemn the drone attacks on merchant ships near Bulgaria’s coast.
Putting the lives of the crew in grave danger and threatening security in the Black Sea.
We stand with Bulgaria and thank its rescuers for their swift response.
Those responsible should be held accountable.
